How One Day Can Begin to Change The Way Your Business Operates | The EOS Focus Day

The first day of the EOS implementation is The Focus Day. It is my favorite day of the process for new clients. They walk away exhausted, feeling like they drank from a fire hose, but have gotten so much accomplished. We are super productive and make huge headway in terms of positive change in just this one day. Dedicating this one day with your team to focus on the right things in your business can be exactly what you need to set your company up to actually yield real results. Think of yourself and your company as a camera – taking time to refocus your lens allows you to collect clearer shots. By taking time to reflect and concentrate on your goals, you’ll find clarity and know exactly what to do in order to develop amazing results.

What is a Focus Day?

The Focus Day™, is a set time to give your leadership team tools to clarify responsibilities, set priorities, improve communication, resolve issues, and track critical numbers. Your leadership team will then use these new tools and implement new habits for the next 30 days to experience real improvement. (And I really mean that!)

Focus Day Objectives:

Get everything off your chest —This day is going to be intense, vulnerable, and probably very overwhelming. But in order to yield the most results, it has to be that way. Get ready to be raw with your thoughts and exhaust all ideas, concerns, and fears with everyone on your team so you can get on the same playing field.

Think and work “on” your business — Businesses can get “stuck” by simply going through the motions. On this day, we won’t just talk about getting things done, we will actually get things done and prove how much of a difference one day can really make in your efforts.

Build better habits It’s an opportunity to tailor daily habits to reach bigger goals. Oftentimes, the compilation of small things leads to big impact. With a specific day set aside to focus, you can revisit some of those routine thoughts and behaviors in a new light to make everyday moments matter and restructure who is doing what.

Implement tools —We’ll put better systems in place and tools for your company to foster true efficiency. The enactment of these tools will help increase traction, accountability, communication, team health, and results.

A Focus Day like this gives you and your team a chance to determine what matters — to think not only about what you do but also how you do it and why you do it. It might be an intense day, but the impact it has on your overall performance and progress forward is beyond gratifying. At the end of this amazing day together your team will walk away with; new leadership skills & training, an Accountability Chart that changes how you will look at “org charts” forever, a Scorecard to run your business on data not intuition, a new leadership meeting cadence & agenda, and last but not least your 3-7 most critical goals for the next quarter with assigned priorities to make sure they are accomplished.
